    Summary: Sarah Plain and Tall the story of a pioneer family living on the Great Plains about 100 years ago. After Anna and Caleb’s mother dies, their father, who they call Papa looks for a new mother for his children. Because they are living on a farm in an area where there aren’t many women, Papa puts an advertisement in a Maine newspaper. Sarah, who is Plain and Tall, answers the advertisement. Soon Sarah sets off on an adventure to the West where she meets Anna, Caleb, and Papa.
