    Summary: How I Became a Pirate is the story of how Jeremy Jacob became a pirate. Although Jeremy had to be back in time for soccer practice, he quickly agreed and jumped on board. Once on board Jeremy learns everything there is to know about being a pirate. Braid Beard shows Jeremy his treasures, the crew teaches him sea chants and Jeremy even learns to sleep with one eye open. Jeremy decides that he would like to be a pirate forever. That is until he discovered all of the things that pirates don’t do. They don’t read books, they don’t give good night kisses and they don’t know how to solve their own problems. And the pirates have a very big problem. They don’t know where to bury their treasure. Jeremy must help the pirates find the perfect place to bury their treasure or else he won’t make it to soccer practice.
