Asking Questions

When readers ask questions, they think about what they already know and what they want to find out.

Asking Questions

When readers ask questions, they set a purpose for reading a book, which can make reading much more interesting. Sometimes readers stop to ask a question in the middle of a book to help them think about and understand the story.

It is often helpful for readers to jot down their questions in a reader’s notebook.  As a result of doing so readers will be able to review their questions before, during and after reading in order to determine whether or not they have discovered information that answers their questions.
